IND vs SL: Team India has taken an important decision before the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka. Team India has entrusted an important responsibility to Sairaj Bahutule. He has been made the interim bowling coach. According to a report, head coach Gautam Gambhir wants to appoint former South African player Morne Morkel as the bowling coach. Morkel will not go on the Sri Lanka tour with Team India. But after this he will take over the responsibility of bowling coach in the team.
According to a report in Cricbuzz, Morkel will not go on the Sri Lanka tour with Team India. Therefore, BCCI has made a temporary arrangement for the time being. The board has appointed Bahutule, who is working at the National Cricket Academy Bangalore, as the interim bowling coach. He will be with Team India for the next six matches. India has to play three ODIs and three T20 matches against Sri Lanka. Bahutule will soon join Gautam Gambhir’s team.
Gambhir is now the head coach of Team India. He has made many important changes in the coaching staff. Gambhir can appoint Abhishek Nair and Ryan Ten Doeschate as assistant coaches. Whereas T. Dilip’s tenure can be extended. He can again become the fielding coach of Team India. Morkel can remain the bowling coach.
Let us tell you that India had already announced the team for the Sri Lanka tour. Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey, Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar have got a place in the ODI team captained by Rohit Sharma. Along with this, Riyan Parag is also a part of this team. BCCI has handed over the responsibility of the T20 team to Suryakumar Yadav. Surya had left Pandya behind in the race for captaincy.
