IAS Anjaneya Kumar Singh: The deputation period of Moradabad Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh, who sent Samajwadi Party veteran leader Azam Khan to jail, had ended. He had registered a case against SP leader Azam Khan while he was Rampur DM, but now his deputation period has been extended for one year.
The central government has extended the deputation of Moradabad division commissioner senior IAS Aanjaney Kumar Singh to Uttar Pradesh for one more year. Aanjaney Kumar Singh is a Sikkim cadre IAS from 2005 and came on deputation to UP in 2015 during the Akhilesh government. In 2019, while being the district officer of Rampur, he came into the limelight for taking action against SP leader Azam Khan and since then his tenure in UP has been continuously increasing.
The term ended on August 14
In March 2021, IAS Anjaneya Kumar Singh was promoted and made the Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad Division. Since then, he is the Commissioner of Moradabad and Rampur district also falls in Moradabad Division. Anjaneya Kumar Singh’s tenure in UP ended on 14 August, after which he has gone on leave after handing over the charge to the District Officer Moradabad.
A gift to IAS Anjaneya Kumar Singh from the Central Government
Now once again after his tenure in UP has been extended for one year by the central government, it is expected that Anjaney Kumar Singh will once again take charge on Thursday. It is said that Anjaney Kumar Singh is the first officer in Uttar Pradesh who has got the longest tenure on deputation. The central government has extended the tenure of IAS Anjaney Kumar Singh for deputation in Uttar Pradesh for the next one year from 14 August 2024.
