LSG Owner Sanjeev Goenka on IPL Match Fixing: IPL has become one of the richest sports leagues in the world whose net worth is in billions of rupees. Every year millions of people watch the Indian Premier League matches, but one question often troubles the fans, is IPL fixed? People are seen in every street of India claiming that IPL matches are fixed, but what is the truth? Now Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjeev Goenka has given a big statement on this subject.
LSG franchise owner Sanjeev Goenka has completely rejected the issue of fixing in IPL. He believes that fixing is not possible here. He also thanked Jay Shah and BCCI for getting rid of the problem of fixing. Let us tell you that it was the match fixing case due to which Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) had to face a two-year ban.
Fixing in IPL…
While discussing fixing, Sanjeev Goenka said, “It is not possible. It is useless to even think about it. At least fixing is not possible in IPL and if it is not happening here then it will not happen anywhere. I am not aware of the problem of fixing. I thank Jay Shah and BCCI for handling the issue.” He also said that there is so much talent in India that if three different tournaments are going on, India can prepare three different teams for them.
If we look at the squad of Lucknow Super Giants for IPL 2025, Rishabh Pant is also included in it. This time, Lucknow had made Pant the most expensive player in IPL history by buying him for Rs 27 crore. Apart from Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, rising stars like Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan are also included in this team.
