The report revealed that wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul is certain to be selected in Team India in the tournament.
A report in Times of India said that KL Rahul has been made clear by the selectors that he will be selected in the team for the Champions Trophy. However, it was also mentioned in the report that KL Rahul will be rested in the white ball series against England before the Champions Trophy. Team India will play a series of 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches against England.
The report quoted a source as saying, “Rahul has been assured of his place in the Champions Trophy. Therefore, he will be rested from the England series.”
