Ishan Kishan Return Duleep Trophy: Shortly before the second round of the Duleep Trophy 2024 began, a tremendous trend started on social media. Ishan Kishan has made a brilliant return to red-ball cricket while playing in the Buchi Babu tournament. He scored a century for Jharkhand, after which speculations were made that he would be included in India D in the Duleep Trophy. But due to injury, he could not be a part of the first round match in the Duleep Trophy.
He was replaced by Sanju Samson in the first round match. When Ishan Kishan was ruled out of the first match, the BCCI issued a statement saying that the medical team is examining him and helping him recover as soon as possible. Since Kishan was ruled out of only the first match of the Duleep Trophy, the hopes of his return in the second round match were at their peak. Let us tell you that Kishan has not got a place in the team for the first Test between India and Bangladesh.
Scored a century as soon as he returned
On Thursday, BCCI took a shocking decision. On one hand, there was news of Ishan Kishan being included in the India D team, but he was seen playing for the India C team on 12 September. He replaced Arun Juyal in the match against India A and played a brilliant innings of 111 runs in the very first innings.
It is also worth noting that Kishan was earlier not included in the India C team but in the ‘D’ team. In the statement issued by BCCI last Tuesday, it was also said that among the four teams, only the ‘C’ team will be the one whose squad will not be changed. Despite this, Kishan being included in the playing eleven of the ‘C’ team is a very surprising decision.
