IPL 2025: Zaheer Khan Gautam Gambhir is currently the head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team. Earlier, Gambhir appeared as the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024 and even before that Gambhir was the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants. After Gambhir, no new mentor came to the Lucknow franchise. However, now talks are going on about Zaheer Khan. If media reports are to be believed, Zaheer Khan can fill Gambhir’s vacant position in Lucknow.
Let us tell you that apart from a mentor, Lucknow Super Giants also lack a bowling coach. Now the team’s bowling coach Morne Morkel has also left the post. Morkel has also become a part of the coaching staff of the Indian cricket team. In such a situation, Zaheer Khan seems even more fit in the role of a mentor, because he can also train the team’s bowlers.
According to the Cricbuzz report, talks are going on between Zaheer Khan and Lucknow Super Giants. However, no official information has been shared by Lucknow Super Giants or Zaheer Khan regarding this matter. Now it will be interesting to see whether Lucknow Super Giants makes the former Indian pacer a mentor or not.
