Punjab Kings spent a lot of money in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Punjab bought the second most expensive player in IPL history. He bought Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore. Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal are also included in the list of three most expensive players of Punjab.
Shreyas was earlier a part of Kolkata Knight Riders. But he was released by the team. Now Iyer will play for Punjab Kings and he can also become the captain.
Yuzvendra Chahal became the second most expensive player of Punjab. Punjab Kings bought him for Rs 18 crore. Whereas Chahal’s base price was Rs 2 crore.
Chahal has previously played for Rajasthan Royals. But the team had released him.
Punjab also bought Arshdeep Singh for Rs 18 crore. They were part of Punjab earlier also.
Let us tell you that Rishabh Pant is the most expensive player in IPL history. Lucknow bought him for Rs 27 crore.
