IPL Auction 2025 Fixed: When players are being bid in the mega auction of IPL, the team owners are sometimes seen staring at each other and sometimes even smiling. But when it was the turn of England’s ace batsman Will Jacques, Mumbai Indians owner Akash Ambani went to the RCB auction table to shake hands. In this auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore has bought Tim David. Actually, a fan has called this trade of Will Jacques and Tim David as fixing.
A post is going viral on social media, in which a fan has claimed that a deal had already been finalized between RCB and MI that they are going to buy Tim David and Will Jacques respectively. This fan told that on one hand Bengaluru has sold Will Jacques to MI for Rs 5.3 crores and has bought Tim David for Rs 3 crores by paying much less than that. In the viral post this trade was described as completely fixed.

Why the controversy over Will Jax?
Will Jacques made his IPL debut in 2024 while playing for RCB. In the entire season, he scored 230 runs in 8 matches for Bengaluru at an average of 33. Jacques especially came into limelight due to his explosive strike rate of 175.57 and he can also bowl when needed. He took 2 wickets in IPL 2024. In such a situation, Jacques was considered to be the trump card for RCB, despite all these aspects, RCB had lost the golden opportunity of RTM.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians owner Akash Ambani probably seemed happy by buying Will Jacques for Rs 5.25 crore because Jacques has the experience of 191 matches in his T20 career. In this huge career, apart from scoring 4,847 runs, he has also taken 60 wickets.
