Microsoft Server Impact Indigo Flights: The global computer outage or Microsoft server down has had a major impact on air flight services. Flight services and airport operations at many airports in India have been affected. Today, due to this technical problem, a large number of IndiGo flights were cancelled and the company has officially informed about the cancellation of 192 flights so far.
Indigo gave information by posting on X
IndiGo has currently said that the option of claiming refund or rebooking for those whose flights have been cancelled is temporarily not available. The airline said that the flights have been cancelled due to the ‘widespread impact of the disruption in the global travel system’… this is beyond our control. IndiGo has also shared a link to a list in this post which lists 192 flights that have been cancelled so far. In another post update, IndiGo has written that flights are being delayed at the airport due to a “network-wide problem with Microsoft Azure”.
IndiGo also informed that the check-in process may be slow and the queues may be long. The company’s digital team is working with Microsoft to resolve the issue. Contact their on-ground team for any help….
Passengers faced these problems at Delhi airport
This server down affected many services at Delhi International Airport. Air passengers complained about long waits at check-in and baggage counters and non-functioning of flight information display boards at the airport.
Flight operations of SpiceJet and Akasa Air were also affected
As soon as the technical glitch occurred in the Microsoft server, reports of internet services being shut down started coming from all over the world. India’s budget carrier SpiceJet and Akasa Air reported temporary shutdown of some of their online services. Akasa Air wrote on X – Due to infrastructure problem with the service provider, our online booking, check-in and booking management services will be closed for some time. Therefore, we are doing manual check-in and boarding process at the airport, so passengers who have immediate travel plans should reach the airport well in advance and complete the check-in process.
This is the first time I saw such a sight

Millions of people are sharing comments and memes etc. on social media regarding this technical problem. Internet services were affected due to the shutdown of Windows based services all over the world and flight services from many countries including America and London were disrupted.
