India Tennis Star Sasikumar Mukund Banned: Vinesh Phogat’s disqualification case in Paris Olympics 2024 was just over and now another Indian athlete has come into the discussion. Let us tell you that CAS had rejected Vinesh Phogat’s appeal for the silver medal. Now the suspension case of India’s tennis star Sasikumar Mukund is gaining momentum. Actually Mukund has alleged that the All India Tennis Association (AITA) did not allow him to play in the Davis Cup after suspending him.
Indian tennis star Sasikumar Mukund has made a scathing attack on the Tennis Association. AITA had said that Mukund was banned for two-tie matches for refusing to play against Pakistan this year. A two-tie ban means that Mukund will not be included in the next two matches against whichever country the Indian tennis team plays. On the other hand, Mukund has claimed that captain Rohit Rajpal and coach had asked him to go on the Sweden tour, but he refused to go due to poor management.
The Indian tennis star meanwhile said through social media that he does not have a visa and perhaps the ban has been imposed on him to hurt someone’s ego. The matter does not end here because according to a PTI report, Mukund was banned because he had refused to play for the national team several times.
It was also claimed that this tennis player had refused to go with the national team thrice. Due to this, he has been banned for the next 2 tours. Due to the ban, he will not be able to go to Sweden and apart from this, Sasikumar Mukund’s name will not be considered for the next opponent the Indian team will play against.
