Indian Team Reached Sri Lanka: The Indian cricket team has reached Sri Lanka for its next assignment. Head coach Gautam Gambhir has also reached with the Indian team. This is Gambhir’s first tour as head coach. On the Sri Lanka tour, Team India will play a 3-match T20 and a 3-match ODI series. The T20 series will be played first and then the ODI series will begin. Suryakumar Yadav will be seen as the captain in the T20 series, while regular captain Rohit Sharma will be seen in the ODIs.
The T20 series will be played from July 27. The last match of the series will be played on July 30. All the matches of the T20 series will be held at Pallekele International Stadium in Pallekele. Team India has reached Pallekele via Colombo. BCCI shared a video and informed about Team India’s arrival in Sri Lanka. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav along with other players were seen in the video. Fans were also seen taking selfies with Indian players at the airport.

After Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav became the captain of T20
Let us tell you that after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement. Rohit Sharma was the regular captain of Team India in all three formats. After Rohit’s retirement from T20 International, Suryakumar Yadav was made the captain.

Most of the senior players of Team India were on rest during the Zimbabwe tour.
