Virat Kohli Border Gavaskar Trophy Centuries: The topic of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is garnering more discussions in Australia than in India. After India’s massive 295-run win in the Perth Test, all eyes are on the match to be held in Adelaide, where both the teams will be seen playing with the pink ball. Virat Kohli’s form has also become a matter of concern for the Kangaroo team. Now former Australia captain Michael Clarke has clearly said that Kohli’s century in the first Test is creating a feeling of fear in him.
On a podcast in Australia, Michael Clarke was asked who according to him will be the highest run-scorer for India in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024? In response, Clarke said, “When I think about losing a Test match, it probably doesn’t bother me that much. But when I remember Virat Kohli’s century in the first Test, I feel a sense of fear.” “I really think Virat will be the top run scorer for India in Adelaide.”
In the year 2024, Virat Kohli was struggling so much that in the whole year he had scored only 250 runs in 12 Test innings and he had to be trolled fiercely even for his average of just 22. Leave alone a century, Kohli had scored only one half-century this year. Despite facing this bad phase, he made a lot of headlines by scoring unbeaten 100 runs in the second innings of Perth Test.
The Adelaide Test will be played with pink ball, which is especially increasing the tension of the Indian team. In fact, till now Australia has played the most pink ball tests, out of which it has lost only once. Kangaroo team’s winning percentage of 91.67 in pink ball test matches is enough to raise the concern of Team India. In comparison, India has so far played only four Tests with the pink ball, out of which it has won on three occasions.
