IND vs BAN 2nd Kanpur Test Highlights: In the second test of the series played in Kanpur, Team India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets and made a clean sweep of 2-0. Team India won a thrilling victory by breathing life into the ‘lifeless’ test played in Kanpur. Rain troubled the match for almost three days, due to which the fans started feeling that the outcome of this match would be nothing but a draw, but Rohit Brigade won the match which was supposed to be a draw.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored half-centuries in both the innings for Team India. In bowling, Jasprit Bumrah took maximum 6 wickets. Bumrah took 3-3 wickets in both the innings.
In the match which started from 27th September, Team India won the toss and decided to bowl. Rain intervened on the very first day of the match, due to which the match started with a delay of one hour. Apart from this, rain was also seen during lunch break. Only 35 overs could be played on the first day, in which Bangladesh put 107/3 runs on the board.
Then the second day was completely washed out in rain. After this, the fans hoped that they would get to see the game on the third day, but it did not happen and the third day also got washed away due to rain without any ball being bowled.
Team India did wonders on the fourth day, gave its all in the match
On the fourth day of the match, the Indian team restricted Bangladesh to 233/10 runs and then declared the innings on the same day after scoring 285/9 runs (in 34.4 overs) in its first innings. Team India took a lead of 52 runs in the first innings. In this innings for India, Yashasvi Jaiswal made the highest individual score of 72 runs with the help of 12 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from this, KL Rahul scored 68 runs by hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes.
On the fourth day itself, Bangladesh took the field for its second innings. By the end of the day, Bangladesh had put 26/2 runs on the board in 11 overs.
Team India won in the second session of the fifth day
Then on the fifth day, Bangladesh, which came to extend its second innings, was all out for only 146/10 runs in the first session and set a target of only 95 runs for India. Team India achieved victory in the second session itself by achieving the small target at the loss of 3 wickets. During this, the biggest inning of 51 runs was seen from Jaiswal’s bat with the help of 8 fours and 1 six in 45 balls.
