ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is to be held in Pakistan next year. The process of renovating the grounds located in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore had started a long time ago. Amidst these preparations, a delegation from the International Cricket Council is now going to visit Pakistan to review the preparations. This delegation will include officials from various departments of the ICC, who will examine many topics ranging from the tournament schedule to practice matches and venues.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials will present detailed information about the work done on the grounds and other issues. If sources are to be believed, ICC can give a copy of the final schedule to PCB within the next 2 days. ICC officials will inspect the three grounds where the Champions Trophy matches are to be played. Meanwhile, ticket sales in Pakistan are also a problem, officials are going to look into this issue as well.
1280 crore rupees were allocated
A few weeks ago, the ICC had allocated Rs 1,280 crore (Pakistani currency) to the PCB for preparations of the Champions Trophy. This amount was to be used for renovation of cricket grounds in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore. The matches of the Champions Trophy are to be played in the months of February and March. India and Pakistan have been placed in Group A.
Let us also tell you that recently India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah had clearly said that until terrorism is completely eradicated, talks with Pakistan are not possible at all. This statement is also being seen as an indication that the Indian government may not send Team India to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy.
