Jay Shah ICC Meeting: Jay Shah took over the charge of ICC Chairman from December 01. He became the youngest chairman of ICC. Earlier, Jay Shah was working as the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Now after coming to ICC, Jay Shah can hold a virtual meeting with all the boards on 5th December. Now you might be thinking that the new ICC Chairman Jaishah will hold this meeting for the Champions Trophy 2025, but perhaps it is not so.
This meeting could be an introduction meeting for Jay Shah, who has become the new chairman of ICC. Jay Shah joined on December 01, since that day the ICC headquarters is closed, due to which he could not interact with the rest of the board.
According to Cricbuzz, his first day at the ICC headquarters will be on 5th December (Thursday). A meeting will be organized for him as the new ICC Chairman.
It is worth noting that the issue of this meeting has not been completely clarified yet. However, in this meeting the issue regarding the schedule of Champions Trophy may arise. Both BCCI and PCB will participate in the meeting. In such a situation, a solution can be found regarding the tournament.
Reportedly, the last meeting for the Champions Trophy was held last Friday (29 November), in which unfortunately no result could be achieved. It was also said that the meeting lasted only till 15.
Initially the PCB was adamant that it would not back down from its stand. It was made clear by the Pakistan Board that the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan only. If this does not happen then he will be out of the tournament and will not send his team to India.
However, after this a model was presented by the Pakistan Board in which it was said that the matches between India and Pakistan in the ICC events to be held for the next three years will be held in Dubai. However, official information regarding all these things has not been revealed yet.
