ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Decision: The sword has been hanging over the Champions Trophy for a long time. BCCI remains firm on its stand that Team India will not tour Pakistan for the tournament. He will participate in the tournament under the hybrid model. Now the final decision of Champions Trophy can come today i.e. Thursday, 5th December.
According to reports, the new ICC chairman Jay Shah will hold a meeting today. All cricket boards can participate in this meeting. This will be the first meeting of ICC under Jay Shah (ICC Chairman). Although there is no clarity yet on whether the Champions Trophy will be decided in today’s meeting, but it is expected.
However, it was also claimed in some media reports that the schedule of Champions Trophy can be prepared from today’s meeting. At present no official information has come regarding all this. Now it will be interesting to see what decisions are taken regarding the tournament in today’s meeting.
Pakistan’s hybrid model
The information received so far shows that Pakistan is ready to adopt the hybrid model. However, some conditions have been kept in Pakistan’s hybrid model. From Pakistan side it was said that under this model, the India-Pakistan matches in the ICC event to be held in February will be played at a neutral venue. Pakistan team will also not tour India for ICC tournament.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had said, “One-sided debate will not be accepted. It cannot be that we keep going to India, but they do not come to Pakistan. Whatever happens, it should be on the basis of equality.”
