ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Controversy: Controversy continues regarding Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan is hosting the tournament. But the problem is that Team India has refused to tour Pakistan for the tournament. According to media reports, there will be an ICC meeting tomorrow i.e. Thursday, 5th December, in which both BCCI and PCB will attend. A final decision on the Champions Trophy dispute can be taken in this meeting. It is worth noting that a meeting was also held last Tuesday (29 November), in which no decision could be taken. It was said in reports that the last meeting could last only for 15 minutes.
Pakistan’s conditions for hybrid model
Reportedly, some conditions were set by Pakistan regarding the hybrid model. One of the conditions in this was that in future ICC events, the matches between India and Pakistan would be held in Dubai. Apart from this, there was a demand from Pakistan Board for increase in revenue share. However, nothing has been officially clarified regarding all these things yet.
Champions Trophy schedule delayed
Due to the controversy, the Champions Trophy schedule is getting delayed. The tournament is to be played between February and March. It was being said that the official schedule would be announced by the ICC in November, but it could not happen. Due to India’s refusal, there is a delay in releasing the schedule of the tournament. Now it will be interesting to see when the schedule is released by ICC after settling the dispute.
