He is an IAS officer by profession
Suhas Yathiraj is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and is a 2007 batch IAS officer. He has also been the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar and Prayagraj. Let us tell you that he has completed his studies in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology and he is the only IAS officer and Arjun Award winner to win a medal in the Paralympics.
Suhas entered badminton quite late, but in a short time he became one of the top para badminton players in the world. He is still the world’s number-1 badminton player in the men’s singles SL4 category.

If we look at Suhas’s achievements, he has now become a two-time Paralympics medalist. Apart from this, he won gold in the 2022 Asian Para Games, while he won a bronze medal in the 2018 Asian Para Games. Suhas has recently won a gold medal in the 2024 World Championship. He has a gold medal in the 2016 Asian Para Badminton Championship.
