SYT vs HBH Final: Hobart Hurricanes have won the title of Big Bash League 2024-25. Hobart Hurricanes defeated Sydney Thunder by 7 wickets in the final. Opener Mitchell Owen was the hero of Hobart Hurricanes’ victory. Mitchell Owen played a stormy inning of 108 runs in 42 balls. He hit 6 fours and 11 sixes in his innings. However, in this way Hobart Hurricanes won the Big Bash title for the first time. Hobart Hurricanes had a target of 183 runs to win. In response to which Hobart Hurricanes achieved the target for 3 wickets in just 14.1 overs.
Mitchell Owen and Colab Javel made the match one-sided
Apart from Mitchell Owen, wicketkeeper batsman Matthew Wade scored 32 runs on 17 balls for Hobart Hurricanes. Ban McDermott returned not out after scoring 18 runs in 12 balls. While Colab Javel contributed 13 runs on 12 balls. Earlier, Hobart Hurricanes openers Mitchell Owen and Colab Javel made the match one-sided by adding 109 runs in just 7.2 overs. After this, the remaining work was completed by Matthew Wade and Ban McDermott. As a result, Hobart Hurricanes got an easy win.

Riley Meredith and Nathan Ellis shine for Hobart Hurricanes
Whereas, Riley Meredith and Nathan Ellis took 3-3 wickets for Hobart Hurricanes. Riley Meredith took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. Whereas Nathan Ellis made 3 batsmen his victims by giving 23 runs in 4 overs.
