Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Vinesh Phogat joining Congress: Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat reached Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s residence on Friday to meet him. Let us tell you that assembly elections are going to be held in Haryana on October 1. Now Bhupinder Hooda himself has made a big revelation about Vinesh’s entry into politics.
While talking to ANI, Bhupinder Hooda was asked whether Vinesh is going to join Congress? Responding to this, the veteran leader said, “This is a hypothetical question. Athletes do not belong to any one party but are the pride of the entire country. If someone joins a party, you will be informed. Whoever wants to join the party, we will welcome him but this is a hypothetical question.”
Bhupinder Hooda further said that whether Vinesh wants to join the Congress party or not, it depends only on her. Today she has faced injustice. She should get the respect she deserves. Congress has already demanded that Vinesh Phogat should get a Rajya Sabha seat and now Hooda has also reiterated the same.
Should get respect like Sachin Tendulkar
Bhupinder Hooda said during the same interview that Vinesh Phogat should get the same respect that a gold medal winner gets. He said, “I have said earlier that just like Sachin Tendulkar was honored by giving him a Rajya Sabha seat, Vinesh should also be nominated. Injustice has been done to her and she deserves justice.”
