IPL 2025 Most Expensive Player Every Team: IPL 2025 mega auction has broken all the records of players’ earnings. A total of 182 players were sold in the auction, on which an amount of Rs 639.15 crore was spent. Whereas when 46 players were retained before the auction, a total of Rs 558.5 crore was spent on them. Overall, a total of 228 players will be seen playing in IPL 2025, on which Rs 1,197.75 crore was spent. 1. Lucknow Super Giants – Rishabh Pant (27 crores)
Lucknow Super Giants became the center of biggest attraction in the mega auction of IPL 2025. This team has bought Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore, which was the biggest bid placed on a player in the history of the Indian Premier League.
2. Punjab Kings – Shreyas Iyer (26.75 crores)
Punjab Kings have also blown everyone away in the auction this time. Punjab had entered the auction with a purse of Rs 110.5 crore and has bought Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore. He has also become the second most expensive player in IPL history.
3. Kolkata Knight Riders – Venkatesh Iyer (23.75 crores)
KKR made the most expensive retention for Rs 13 crore, Rinku Singh was retained for this amount. But when it came to the auction, KKR broke all records for Venkatesh Iyer. Kolkata team bought him by paying Rs 23.75 crore.
4. Sunrisers Hyderabad – Heinrich Klaasen (23 crores)
Sunrisers Hyderabad spent the highest amount on Ishan Kishan in the auction. SRH has bought Kishan for Rs 11.25 crore. But before this, Hyderabad had retained South African wicketkeeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen by paying an amount of Rs 23 crore.
5. RCB – Virat Kohli (21 crores)
Royal Challengers Bangalore also did not spend too much money on any one player in the auction. In the auction, RCB made the highest bid of Rs 12.50 crore on Josh Hazlewood. But the most expensive player of this team will be Virat Kohli, who was retained for an amount of Rs 21 crore.
6. Gujarat Titans – Rashid Khan (18 crores)
In the mega auction, Gujarat Titans made their biggest bid on Jos Buttler, who was bought by the team for Rs 15.75 crore. But Gujarat will pay the highest salary to Rashid Khan, who was retained for Rs 18 crore.
7. Chennai Super Kings – Ruturaj Gaikwad/Ravindra Jadeja (18 crores)
In the auction, CSK spent the most money on Noor Ahmed, whom it bought for Rs 10 crore. But the most expensive players of CSK in IPL 2025 will be Ravindra Jadeja and Rituraj Gaikwad, who were retained by the team for Rs 18 crore each.
8. Delhi Capitals – Axar Patel (16.50 crore)
The bids placed by Delhi Capitals in the auction have been highly appreciated. The most expensive player in the auction for Delhi was KL Rahul, who was bid for Rs 14 crore. But DC had earlier retained Akshar Patel for Rs 16.50 crore.
9. Mumbai Indians – Jasprit Bumrah (18 crores)
Mumbai Indians also took smart decisions in the mega auction. Mumbai bought Trent Boult by making the most expensive bid of Rs 12.50 crore. But Jasprit Bumrah will be the player to whom MI will be paying the highest salary i.e. Rs 18 crore.
10. Rajasthan Royals – Sanju Samson/Yashaswi Jaiswal (18 crores)
Joffra Archer was the player who was bought by Rajasthan Royals with the highest bid of Rs 12.50 crore. But Rajasthan had retained Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal for Rs 18 crore each.
