GST Collection For July 2024: GST collection (Goods and Services Tax Collection) has been Rs 1,82,075 crore in July 2024, which was Rs 1,65,105 crore in July 2023. In July 2024, 10.3 percent more GST collection has been achieved as compared to the same month last year. In June 2024, GST collection of Rs 1.74 lakh crore was successful. On July 1, 2024, the data of GST collection was not released by the Finance Ministry. But this time this data has been uploaded on the portal of GST Council. In the month of April of this financial year 2024-25, GST collection was Rs 2.10 lakh crore which is a record.
Releasing the monthly data of GST collection, it was told that in July 2024, Rs 32,386 crore was received through CGST, Rs 40,289 crore through SGST, Rs 49,437 crore through IGST, and Rs 11,923 crore through cess. That is, the total domestic revenue has been Rs 1.34 lakh crore with a jump of 8.9 percent.
On the import front, Rs 47009 crore has been recovered through IGST and Rs 1029 crore through cess. GST revenue from imports has increased by 14.2 percent. According to the data, domestic refund of Rs 7813 crore has been issued, which is 34.1 percent less than July 2023. A refund of Rs 11,857 crore was issued in July 2023. IGST refund of Rs 8470 crore has been issued, which is 1.4 percent more than July last year. The total refund has decreased by 19.2 percent. A refund of Rs 16,283 crore has been issued in July 2024, which was a refund of Rs 20,209 crore in July 2023.
The Finance Ministry issued a statement saying that the monthly data of Goods and Services Tax will now be available on the GST website https://www.gst.gov.in in the News and Updates section. From now on, the GST collection data will be uploaded on this portal.
