I am the kind of person I am and I do things according to my own wishes. I am proud of who I am. I am not saying that I am the kind of person who never makes mistakes, but I have not done anything that would shame me.’
‘In the kind of industry (film) I was in, it takes a lot of effort to keep yourself away from negativity, toxicity and gossip. I stay away from all this. So when the news of my conversion came, I felt very bad. I am a Hindu. I follow Hinduism. But I believe in Hinduism in a wider sense, not the Hinduism that is being sold these days. Even if I had converted to Islam, I would have said it with pride. No one else should have any concern with it.’
