Delhi Ganesh Death: Well-known actor of Tamil film industry Delhi Ganesh has passed away. The actor was ill for a long time, after which he left this world on November 9, 2024 (Saturday) at the age of 80. His son Mahadevan has confirmed his death. Let us tell you that Delhi Ganesh had worked in more than 400 films in his film career.
While posting on Instagram story, Delhi Ganesh’s son Mahadevan wrote – ‘We are very sad to inform that our father Delhi Ganesh passed away on November 9 at around 11 pm.’
Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 was Delhi Ganesh’s last film
Late actor Delhi Ganesh started his film career with Balachander’s film Pattina Pravesam in 1976. He worked in more than 400 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. His acting in many films like Nayakan, Michael Madhana Kama Rajan, Sindhu Bhairavi, Iruvar was highly appreciated. He was last seen in Kamal Haasan’s film Indian 2.
Delhi Ganesh was a resident of Delhi and his name was given by director Balachander. The actor was a member of Dakshina Bharat Natak Sabha, a theater troupe in Delhi. He served in the Indian Air Force for a decade.

In an interview given to Cinema Express in the year 2021, Delhi Ganesh said that he liked all the films made with Kamal Haasan. He had said- ‘I like all the films I have done with Kamal Haasan very much. I think he gave me the most recognition. Avvai Shanmughi, Tenali, Michael Madana Cama Rajan and Apoorva Sagodharargal are some of the films that come to mind. Kamal gives a lot of space to actors and he trusts you. That makes all the difference.’
