CSK Possible Playing XI IPL 2025: As soon as the IPL 2025 mega auction started, the strategy of Chennai Super Kings was clearly visible that it wants to buy its old players again. CSK has also bought back Ravichandran Ashwin, Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway and Sam Curran. In IPL 2023, the opening pair of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway had made ghosts of the opposition bowlers. Gaikwad and Conway scored 590 and 672 runs respectively in IPL 2023. Now in IPL 2025, both these players can be seen opening for CSK. Rachin Ravindra’s stature has increased in world cricket and last year also he scored 222 runs in 10 matches while batting at number three.
This time CSK has played a big gamble by purchasing Rahul Tripathi for Rs 3.40 crore. Tripathi can be seen batting in the middle order. Here Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dubey come in the list of all-rounders, who were retained by CSK for Rs 18 crore and Rs 12 crore respectively. Chennai’s squad has also become stronger because ‘Professor’ Ravichandran Ashwin is going to return to this team after 10 years. Meanwhile, there is also MS Dhoni, who surprised everyone last season by playing with a strike rate of more than 220.
After Ashwin, the second main spin bowler of the team can be Noor Ahmed of Afghanistan, who has been bought by Chennai for Rs 10 crore. Khalil Ahmed and Mathisha Pathirana can handle the fast bowling. In fast bowling, CSK will have many good options including Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Anshul Kamboj and Nathan Ellis.
