Rajiv Shukla On Champions Trophy 2025: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vice President Rajeev Shukla has reiterated India’s stand on the Champions Trophy. Rajeev Shukla said that the BCCI Board will work as per the instructions of the Government of India. Pakistan will host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but India has made it clear that the Indian team will not tour Pakistan due to security reasons. Since then, the period of dispute between India and Pakistan continues. Pakistan wants to host the tournament at any cost, but BCCI demands that the tournament be played on hybrid model.
What did Rajeev Shukla say on the Champions Trophy controversy?
Speaking to news agency ANI, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said that India is firm on its stand. We will work on the advice of our government. We have made our stand clear with the ICC in this regard. Rajeev Shukla said that we are very clear about this and it is our policy that – whatever the government asks us, whatever instructions it gives, we will work accordingly. We have also told this to ICC. However, it will be interesting to see whether Pakistan accepts the hybrid model?
Meanwhile, a new controversy is emerging over shifting the ICC Champions Trophy to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has expressed strong objection to Pakistan Cricket Board’s promotion of ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. On social media, Pakistan Cricket Board announced to promote ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
