Pakistan vs Bangladesh: The atmosphere in Bangladesh has deteriorated since the coup. There are reports of violence from many places. Arson and vandalism are also continuing. Amidst all this, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the team for the two-match Test series on the Pakistan tour. Shakib Al Hasan has returned to the Test team after a long time.
The two-match Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is part of the ICC World Test Championship. The first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played in Rawalpindi from 21 to 25 August. The second Test will be played in Karachi from 30 August to 3 September.
Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan’s return to the team is surprising. Shakib has been playing T20 leagues around the world, but he was not a part of the Test team for a long time. BCB has also handed over the command of the team to Nazmul Hussain Shanto in this two-match Test series.
