Abhishek Bachchan On Amitabh Bachchan: Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is in the news these days for his film I Want to Talk. The actor’s film may not be earning crores at the box office, but his acting is being appreciated a lot. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan remembered his period when his films were continuously flopping. The actor told that he had started doubting his skills.
In a recent interview given to Galatta India, Abhishek Bachchan said- ‘I went through a phase in my career when many of my films were not working. Critics were criticizing my performance, no matter who I worked with. I say who I worked with, I worked with some of the biggest directors, hopefully okay, they will teach me things and improve the things that I have not been able to do.
Abhishek had accepted defeat in front of his father.
Abhishek Bachchan further said- But nothing was happening. In a weak moment, which is embarrassing for me to think about now, I went to my father and said we needed to talk. I think I have made a big mistake. I’m not ready for this because no matter what I do, it’s not working. I have tried all types of cinema, genres and film makers. I am not capable of doing this.
Father gave courage to son
The actor tells that he had told Amitabh Bachchan- ‘Maybe now the time has come that I should be honest with myself and say that you are not ready for this. You are not good enough. Find something else to do.’ When Abhishek Bachchan accepted his defeat in front of his father, Amitabh Bachchan explained it to him very well and consoled him.
‘You have a lot to improve’
Amitabh Bachchan had told Abhishek- ‘I am telling you this as your senior, not as your father. You are nowhere near finished products. You have a lot to improve. But I am seeing improvement in every film of yours. There is a good actor hidden inside you. How good you become depends on you and how hard you want to work.
Abhishek Bachchan did this work following his father’s advice
While giving advice to his son, Big B had said – ‘The only way to improve your art is to work. So go there, sign whatever film you get and work. Abhishek Bachchan says that he obeyed his father and did only what his father told him. He says- ‘I didn’t care what kind of role it was. I did everything until I believed in myself.
