Ban On Alzarri Joseph For Inappropriate Behavior: West Indies’ star fast bowler Alzarri Joseph was banned for two matches. Keeping an eye on his actions of leaving the ground during a live match, the West Indies Cricket Board banned Alzari. After being unhappy with the captain, the West Indies fast bowler was seen leaving the field and sitting in the dugout for some time.
Joseph did this act in the third ODI played against England last Wednesday (06 November). Now he had to suffer the consequences of this action with the ban. Actually, while bowling, captain Shai Hope did not give the fielding as per his wish to Alzarri, after which the fast bowler appeared angry. First Joseph said something to the captain and then after completing his over, he went out of the field. However, Joseph returned to the field after some time.
West Indies Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe said in response to the incident: “Alzarri’s behavior was inconsistent with the core values that Cricket West Indies stands for. This type of conduct cannot be condoned and we have taken decisive action to ensure that That the seriousness of the situation be fully acknowledged.”
Alzarri Joseph also apologized for his actions. Quoting the West Indies Cricket Board, Joseph said, “I admit that my passion got the best of me. I personally apologized to captain Shai Hope, my teammates and the team management. I also apologize to the West Indies fans – I “I understand that even a small error in judgment can have far-reaching consequences and I am deeply sorry for any disappointment this may have caused.”
