England vs Australia T20I: The third and final match of the three-match T20 series between England and Australia was cancelled due to rain. After the second match of the series, five people ‘misbehaved’ with a female fan. The England Cricket Board called this incident with the woman horrific. So let’s know what the whole matter is.
Actually, this incident happened after the second T20 match of the series. The second match of the series was played in Cardiff. After watching this match, a female fan named Rajvi Glassbrook was returning, when five people sexually harassed and racially abused her at Newport station.
According to media reports, the people who abused the female fan had also come to watch the match. After the match was over, the five people followed the female fan. When the fan said that she would report against them, those people started abusing her even more.
Speaking about the incident, the female fan told Telegraph Sport, “It was clear on the platform even before I got on the train that their behaviour was bad. As soon as I got on the train, the commotion started. The language and harassment was disgusting and sexually violent to some extent. One of the men even set a Lynx can on fire at one point in a fully packed carriage.”
England Cricket Board condemned
Let us tell you that the England Cricket Board condemned this incident. The board said, “We are shocked by the mistreatment of Rajvi while returning home from this match and we would urge anyone who has seen this or has any information to contact the police. Glamorgan Cricket has contacted Rajvi and we hope that the culprits can be identified.”
