AFG vs NZ Greater Noida: A test match is to be played between Afghanistan and New Zealand at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Greater Noida. But this match could not start even on the third day due to rain. Even the toss did not take place. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is being trolled for the poor arrangements at the Greater Noida Stadium. But the Afghanistan Cricket Board has reacted on this issue. The Afghan Board has told the truth about the whole matter.
Actually, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has shared a post on Instagram. It wrote, “We had considered three options in India. Dehradun, Lucknow and Greater Noida. But unfortunately both (Lucknow and Dehradun) were not available due to BCCI’s domestic matches. Along with this, it would have been difficult to play Test matches in UAE due to hot weather. New Zealand also has a busy schedule. That’s why we chose Greater Noida. It is rainy season in India. Due to this, their domestic matches have also been affected.
The Afghan board has praised the efforts of the BCCI. It further wrote in the post, “We cannot control the weather. The BCCI has provided us with additional machinery. Efforts have also been made to make the ground playable.”
Many pictures of the Greater Noida Stadium have been shared on social media. Electric fans were also used to dry the ground. Due to this, officials associated with the Greater Noida Stadium were also trolled. The important thing is that this match could not start even on the third day, Wednesday.
