IND vs AUS 3rd Test: India vs Australia: In the third test, Team India’s first innings was all out with a score of 260 runs. In this way Australia has gained a lead of 185 runs in the first innings. With the fall of Akashdeep’s wicket on the fifth day of the Gabba Test, India lost its tenth wicket. On the fourth day, Jasprit Bumrah and Akashdeep together saved Team India from follow-on. On the fifth day, the Indian team could survive only 4 overs in the field. For Australia, captain Pat Cummins took four wickets and Mitchell Starc took three wickets.
For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill got out on small scores and walked away. Virat Kohli also got out after scoring just 3 runs. Meanwhile, KL Rahul stood firm from one end and by the end of the third day’s play, Team India had scored 51 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. The fourth day of the Gabba Test was also affected by rain, hence the match was stopped several times. Rahul played an important inning of 84 runs, which looked in very good touch. Rahul was on his way to complete his century, but Steve Smith caught him in a very unique way.
Important partnership of Rahul-Jadeja
Captain Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 and 9 runs respectively. From here, a very important partnership of 67 runs was formed between KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, which to a great extent brought the Indian team back into the match. Rahul was out after scoring 84 runs, then Ravindra Jadeja made a partnership of 53 runs with Nitish Kumar Reddy. Nitish was out after scoring 19 runs, while Jadeja contributed 77 runs.
Bumrah-Akashdeep saved shame
At one time the Indian team had lost 9 wickets at the score of 213 and the team still had to score 33 runs to save the follow-on. In such a situation, despite being the 10th and 11th ranked batsmen, Jasprit Bumrah and Akashdeep took command. Bumrah and Akashdeep together added 47 runs and before the end of the fourth day, they had crossed the follow-on mark by touching the figure of 246 runs. Akashdeep scored 31 runs and Bumrah scored 10 runs.
