ICC Champions Trophy Update: The date of ICC meeting to be held on 5th December has been extended to 7th December. Now a new update has come out that India will not go to Pakistan to play cricket and similarly the Pakistan team will not come to India to play any tournament till the year 2027. According to a report, its official announcement is possible on December 7. Be it Asia Cup or any ICC event, India and Pakistan will not go to play each other’s countries till the year 2027.
According to TOI, it is possible to announce this hybrid model for India and Pakistan on December 7. This model can be implemented till the year 2027 because the existing media rights are going to continue for the next 3 years. It is also worth noting that India is going to host the Women’s World Cup and Men’s Asia Cup next year. Apart from this, India and Sri Lanka are also going to host the 2026 T20 World Cup together. For all these tournaments, Pakistan team will not play its matches in India.
Jay Shah arrived for the first time at the ICC Headquarters located in Dubai, where he met the staff members, Board of Directors and Media Rights Partners. He thanked everyone including the staff members and the Board of Directors for making his first day memorable. Shah said that he has prepared a roadmap for the future.
Let us remind you that according to some reports, earlier BCCI had rejected Pakistan’s demand to implement the hybrid model. Meanwhile, this report of Times of India is showing that finally BCCI has approved the demand of hybrid model for Pakistan also.
