Rishabh Pant IPL 2025: Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer have broken all the records of IPL auction. Both these players were sold the most expensive in the mega auction of IPL 2025. Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 27 crore. Whereas Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore. Including these, the teams spent more than Rs 100 crore on a total of five players. This auction became historic.
Pant was a part of Delhi Capitals. But Delhi released him. Now Rishabh was bought by Lucknow for Rs 27 crore. His base price was Rs 2 crore. Pant has had an excellent record so far. He is a strong wicketkeeper batsman and also a good captain. Lucknow can also make Pant the captain for the next season.
Punjab placed a big bet on Shreyas Iyer –
Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore. His base price was Rs 2 crore. Iyer was a part of Kolkata Knight Riders. But the team released him. Now Iyer will play for Punjab. After joining the Punjab team, he can also become the captain of the team.
Punjab looted treasury on Arshdeep-Chahal –
Along with Iyer, Punjab Kings also bought Chahal and Arshdeep. The base price of Arshdeep and Chahal was Rs 2 crore. Both of them got Rs 18-18 crore. Arshdeep is a fast bowler and he has made waves in domestic as well as international cricket. Talking about Chahal, he is a great spin bowler.
Teams spent more than Rs 100 crore on these five players –
Rishabh Pant was bought for 27 crores. Shreyas Iyer was bought for 26.75 crores. Arshdeep Singh was bought for 18 crores. Yuzvendra Chahal was also bought for Rs 18 crore. Jos Buttler was bought by Gujarat Titans. He got Rs 15.75 crore. Butler’s base price was Rs 2 crore. The total value of all these players is more than Rs 100 crore.
