IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore has bought a powerful finisher at a very cheap price. RCB bought Tim David for Rs 3 crore in the mega auction of IPL 2025. He was earlier a part of Mumbai Indians. The base price of Tim David was Rs 2 crore. He has given strong performances on many occasions. Australian player Tim David has also performed well in international matches.
Sunrisers Hyderabad made the first bid on Tim David in the mega auction. After this RCB also joined the bid. But Hyderabad made the last bid up to Rs 2.80 crore. After this RCB won. David has performed well for Mumbai Indians on many occasions. But Mumbai did not bid on him even once in the auction.
There was a huge loss in salary –
Tim David has suffered a huge loss in salary. He was a part of Mumbai Indians from 2022 till now. Mumbai was paying him Rs 8.25 crore as salary. But now only Rs 3 crore will be available. However, Tim David’s first IPL salary was only Rs 20 lakh. He was part of RCB in IPL 2021.
Tim’s record so far has been –
Tim David has played 38 matches in IPL so far. He has taken 46 wickets during this period. Tim’s best IPL score has been 46 runs. He has played 54 T20 matches for Australia so far. During this period 1201 runs have been scored. Tim David has scored 6 half-centuries for Australia in T20. Tim has also played 6 ODI matches. Couldn’t do anything special in this.
RCB also spent money on these players –
Royal Challengers Bangalore paid the most money to Josh Hazlewood. Hazlewood was sold in the auction for Rs 12.50 crore. Phil Salt was bought by RCB for Rs 11.50 crore. RCB also spent good money on Jitesh Sharma. The team bought Jitesh for Rs 11 crore. Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has also become a part of RCB. They were sold for Rs 10.75 crore.
