The government has given a wonderful gift before the festivals to those who wish to fulfill their dream of owning a house in the country’s financial capital Mumbai. The government has now further reduced the prices of houses already available at cheaper rates under the lottery. The prices of houses available through MHADA lottery have been reduced by up to 25 percent.
Deputy CM announced the cut
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday announced a 25 percent cut in the prices of houses in the lottery. He announced this on the social media platform X. The maximum cut of 25 percent has been made for houses in the EWS category. The prices of houses have been reduced in other categories as well.
Lottery has started this month
Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) recently announced the lottery of more than 2 thousand flats in Mumbai. Applications for the lottery have started from 9 August. The entire lottery process is being done online. After the applications are received, the lottery will be drawn on 13 September. In this lottery, everyone from low-income people to high-income people are getting a chance to buy a house. In the lottery, people are getting a chance to buy a house in prime locations like Malad, Powai, Vikhroli, Goregaon, Wadala.

This is only for surplus tenements received under Sections 33(5) and 33(7). The revised reduction will be as follows… 25% for EWS, 20% for LIG, 15% for MIG and 10% for HIG.

You are getting so many houses in Mumbai through lottery
This time, MHADA’s Mumbai board has drawn a lottery for 2,030 flats. The maximum number of 768 flats are for MIG i.e. Middle Income Group. 627 flats for Lower Income Group (LIG), 359 flats for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 276 flats for Higher Income Group (HIG) are available in the lottery. 1 BHK flats are usually available in LIG and EWS categories. Whereas 2 BHK houses are available in MIG category and 3 BHK houses in Higher Income Group.
