Vikram Chiyaan On Thangalaan: Chiyan Vikram’s film Tangalan was released recently. The film is getting a lot of love at the box office. Tangalan is earning a lot and is also giving competition to many films released along with it. Recently, during a press conference in Mumbai, Tangalan star Chiyan Vikram spoke openly about his strong connection with this film and called it one of the most memorable projects of his career. The actor, while sharing the stage with his co-star Parvathy Thiruvothu and director Pa Ranjith, also said how important the film is to him.
I have done movies for free
At the press conference Vikram said, ‘I have done some great roles in my career, but Tangalan is very, very special to me. This is a film that I will always remember. If I am alive by then, I am planning to show it to my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.’ During this, Vikram was asked about his impressive transformation in this film. To which he joked in a funny way and said in a serious way that ‘it all happened because of money’. But he further says, ‘I am joking. I have done films even for free, but then I did not have such big dreams. But one day my wife called me and said we should eat on the table’.
Why was Vikram seen wearing a dhoti in the film
On being asked why he is often seen wearing a dhoti in the film, Chiyaan Vikram said, ‘It is a loincloth or langot. I knew that many people might hesitate or feel uncomfortable about it, but I felt something great in this role. It was a big step for me. Although on the first day we were all shy and kept pulling the cloth down again and again, but when we saw that everyone was wearing the same kind of clothes, it felt great.’
