Tikdam Review: If we criticize bad cinema, then we should also have the courage to praise good cinema. If we criticize bad actors for their bad acting, then we should also openly praise good actors. A film has been released on Jio Cinema called Tikdam, there is no much promotion, no hype, but after watching the film, I felt why there is no hype for such films. Why not talk about good cinema, the team of this film is now promoting this film and it should be done because good cinema should reach the people. No matter how many tricks have to be used for this.
Story
This is the story of a small hill station Sukhtal. Here Prakash i.e. Amit Sial lives with his children and parents. He works in a small hotel but due to less tourists in Sukhtal, the hotel closes down but a father has to fulfill his children’s dreams. He has to send them on picnics. In such a situation, Prakash, like the rest of the people of Sukhtal, decides to go out of his village to the city and work and his children decide to keep their father in the village and for this, these small children set out to save the environment. So that snow falls in Sukhtal and tourists come, which creates jobs here and their father does not leave them. To see if he is able to do this, you must watch this film immediately.
how is the movie
This is a very sweet film which will make you cry many times, will take you back to your childhood many times. Many times it will open such a box of memories in front of you that you will get lost in it. You will wish that childhood could return. You will feel that I had demanded a little too much from my father at that time. This film is very simple and this is its specialty, there are no loud scenes, no commotion, the film moves at its own pace. You go along with this film, it is not as if the children change the environment in it. Things have been explained with logic, this film tells the importance of family, this film tells that use any trick but do not go away from the family. This film makes you feel a lot which cannot be told in writing, feel it by watching this film.
Acting
Till now we have seen Amit Sial in tough and intense roles. Maybe even Amit Sial himself doesn’t know that he could do this film and play the character of Prakash so beautifully. But this is the best character of his career till now which broke his image and this is what an actor needs. The way he presents the emotions of a father, you will remember your father in every situation. Amit Sial’s dialogue delivery and expressions will touch you deeply. You will fall in love with his character, you will feel that we should do something for him. Get him a job, get him shoes, pay the picnic fees of his children, do something. Hopefully this film and this character will open new doors for Amit. Every other actor has done a wonderful job. Arisht Jain, Aarohi Saud and Divyansh Divyedi, these three children bring a new life to this film and the work of all three is superb. Looking at all three, it did not seem that they are still learning. It seems as if they are very experienced actors. Apart from them, all the other actors are also amazing.
Direction
Vivek Anchaliya has directed the film. Vivek has written the screenplay and story along with Pankaj Nihalani. Animesh Verma and these three people are the three heroes of this film. If the writing is not strong then even a good actor will not be able to do anything and this film is the best in the department of writing and direction. Vivek has also directed it beautifully. No attempt has been made to forcefully show things as heroic or over the top. The specialty of this story is its simplicity and that has been maintained.
Overall, in today’s times when thousands of kinds of content are being released, this film is like a breath of fresh air, so take some fresh air.
