Taboo Affairs: Actress Tabu was born on 4 November 1971. Her father was Pakistani actor Jamal Ali Hashmi who had come to India. However, her father left the family in Tabu’s childhood, after which Tabu was raised by her mother Rizwana. Tabu’s elder sister Farah Naaz was also a leading heroine in Bollywood in the 80s and 90s.
Tabu never used her father’s title with her name. Tabu had also said during a show that her sister met her father many times but I never met him. I did not want to know anything about him. I was happy like this in my life.
She has won the National Award twice
Tabu is one of those actresses of mainstream cinema who has won many awards on the basis of her acting. Tabu started her career at the age of 11 with the film Bazaar. After this, she played the role of a daughter in Dev Anand’s film Hum Naujawan at the age of 14.
Tabu got a big film Vijaypath in 1994 after which she never looked back. Tabu also did many films in regional cinema in her career which were quite hit and talked about. Tabu did films like Prem, Haqeeqat, Himmet, Jeet, Maqbool, The Namesake, Cheeni Kum, Haider and some such films in Hindi films. Tabu has received the National Award twice for Maachis and Chandni Bar.

In a career spanning four decades, Tabu’s name was linked with many actors. During the shooting of the film Prem, Tabu’s name was linked with Sanjay Kapoor. It is said that both of them were dating each other during the shooting, however, this relationship ended very soon.
After this, director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala entered Tabu’s life. Tabu and Sajid remained friends for a long time. The closeness between the two grew during the film Jeet but Sajid could not take the relationship with Tabu further because he had feelings in his heart for his first wife Divya Bharti.
Affair with married man Nagarjuna
According to Pinkvilla, the biggest name in the news of Tabu’s affair is Akkineni Nagarjuna. South’s popular superstar Nagarjuna was already married. However, Tabu wanted a stable relationship but Nagarjuna was already married twice. It is said that this is the reason why both of them ended their relationship after ten years. During an interview with Times of India, Nagarjuna accepted their relationship and said that just taking Tabu’s name brings a smile to his face. He also told that both of them have been good friends for a long time.
Ajay Devgan is responsible for Tabu being single
Tabu and Ajay Devgan grew up in the same area. She often jokingly mentions that Ajay Devgan is responsible for her not getting married because whenever a boy came to talk to her, he used to bully him. Both of them have known each other for about 25 years.
