Abhinav Bindra’s Reaction on Vinesh Phogat Verdict Postponed: The whole country of India is disappointed due to the extension of the date of the verdict in the Vinesh Phogat case. Now the verdict will be announced on August 16 at 9:30 pm and this is the third time that CAS has extended the time of the verdict. Now shooter Abhinav Bindra, who won the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has also given his reaction on this issue. He has urged everyone to maintain patience.
Abhinav Bindra has said through X that, “Whenever there is a delay in any important work, we all feel disappointed. Today, when we are talking about the delay in the CAS decision on the Vinesh Phogat case, we are facing the same disappointment. I believe that we athletes spend every four years waiting for a chance to shine in the Olympics once again. We athletes keep saying that I wish the Olympic Games come soon. Today the whole of India is feeling the same feeling.”
appeal to be patient
Abhinav Bindra further said in his post that playing sports does not only mean the action on the field. Sports also require waiting, patience and determination to move forward. Bindra said, “That is why we will all wait for August 16. Remember the circumstances our athletes go through to reach here and boost their morale by thinking about this. We all know that this is a very long battle being played.”
Let us remind you that Abhinav Bindra won a gold medal for India in the 10 meter air rifle event of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He became the first Indian athlete in history to win an Olympic medal for India in shooting.
We’ve all felt that frustration when something important gets delayed, and today, many of us are feeling that as we wait for Vinesh Phogat’s CAS judgment. But here’s a thought—this is kind of like what athletes go through every four years, waiting for another shot at Olympic…
