In the year 2024, CBSE was trying to reduce the study burden of children, while the education mafia and those providing jobs through collusion were trying to leak exam papers and earn money. Due to this action of the mafia, many examination papers were leaked.
The year started in February with the paper leak of UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam. After this, papers of many exams including NEET UG, Bihar CHO, Jharkhand SSC CGL were leaked. In June 2024, a law was implemented to stop the paper leak incident. The paper leak law was passed in February 2024. The government has named the anti-paper leak law as ‘Public Examination Act 2024’.
Public Examination Act 2024
After the implementation of the Public Examination Act 2024, a provision has been made for imprisonment of three to five years and a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh for using unfair means in all public examinations. For organized paper leaking, a fine of up to Rs 1 crore can be imposed.
UP police constable recruitment exam paper leaked
The first case of paper leak of any recruitment examination came to light in the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination. 45 lakh youth had applied with great hope. But the paper was leaked and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath canceled the recruitment exam. This exam was to be held on 18th February but the paper got leaked just a few hours before. Those who leaked the UP Police constable recruitment exam paper earned between Rs 50 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. However, 244 people were arrested in this case. It is clear from the arrests on such a large scale that this is a big racket.

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) had conducted online examination for recruitment to 444 posts of Section Officer (SO) and Assistant Section Officer (ASO). The paper of this recruitment examination conducted at the national level was leaked in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. At that time, investigation was conducted at a high level and many coaching operators and solver gangs were arrested. At that time it was revealed that candidates were helped in cheating through Anydesk app.
UPPSC RO ARO exam paper leaked
The process of paper leaking has not stopped yet. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission had conducted the preliminary examination of RO/ARO on 11 February 2024. Its paper also got leaked. The exam was canceled after the matter came to light. It was revealed that resorts were booked in Manesar in Haryana and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh for the candidates appearing for the exam. There, examination related facilities were provided to the applicants. After all the applicants gathered, they were provided with question papers and answer sheets.
NEET UG-2024 also could not survive
Medical Entrance Exam (NEET) UG paper leak issue became a big issue. This matter reached the Supreme Court. This examination was held on 5th May. Paper leaked. Not only this, there was also an allegation of increasing the marks of 1563 candidates. After the declaration of the results, the candidates had reached the Supreme Court. In this the number of toppers had reached 61. But in NEET UG Revised Result 2024, the number of toppers decreased from 61 to 17.

The UGC NET exam held on June 18, 2024, was canceled by the Education Ministry on June 19. It was told in the intelligence report that there could be irregularities in the examination. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the UGC NET paper was leaked on the darknet and then it was spread through Telegram. Due to this, the Ministry canceled the paper to maintain the sanctity of the examination and the examination was conducted again.
Jharkhand SSC CGL 2024
The CGL examination of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) was held on 21 and 22 September 2024. There were reports of paper leaking in this examination. Many candidates claimed that they had not filled any answers on the OMR sheet, raising suspicions that the paper was leaked. This case indicates rigging in the recruitment examination. Apart from these exams, papers of some other exams were also leaked.
