Women T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule: The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is going to be held in the UAE. This is the 9th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup, which will start from October 3. When will the World Cup start, how many teams will participate?
The ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will run from 3-20 October. A total of 10 teams will be participating in the tournament and 23 matches will be played between them including the final. These 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five each. Talking about India, it has been included in Group A, which includes Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Bangladesh, England, Scotland, South Africa and West Indies have been placed in the second group.
When will India’s matches take place?
India has been placed in Group A and its first match will be against New Zealand on 4 October. Two days after that, on 6 October, India-Pakistan will clash. Team India will face Sri Lanka and Australia on 9 and 13 October respectively. Last time in the semi-finals, Team India had to face a close defeat by 5 runs against Australia.

World Cup was going to be held in Bangladesh
The ICC had earlier declared Bangladesh as the host of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. But in the year 2024, the situation in Bangladesh was going from bad to worse due to student protests. However, earlier the ICC did not give any decision in the hope that the situation would improve. But after the government coup in Bangladesh, in August the ICC appointed the UAE as the new host of the World Cup.
