blood test for pregnancy
According to doctors, after pregnancy, the HCG hormone is produced from the placenta of women. Doctors check the HCG level in blood and urine. This means that the HCG hormone is checked in the blood through this blood test, which is of two types. First is qualitative HCG test, second is quantitative HCG test.
1. Qualitative hCG test
In a qualitative HCG test, the presence of HCG in the blood is revealed by positive and negative results. Based on this, it is determined whether a woman is pregnant or not. On this basis, the doctor gives her advice.
2. Quantitative hCG test
This test (Quantitative HCG Test) detects the amount of HCG in the blood. This helps in determining the age of the fetus growing in the womb of women. This test detects the problems faced by women during pregnancy. This test also detects miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. This blood test is also called beta HCG blood test, repeat quantitative beta HCG test, quantitative serial beta HCG test. HCG blood test can be done after 6-8 days of pregnancy.
