Jay Shah Reaction Mohammad Shami Fitness: Mohammed Shami was last seen playing for India in the 2023 ODI World Cup. The Indian fast bowler has recently been seen practicing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, but there are still question marks over his return. As the India vs Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy is approaching, concerns are growing whether Shami will be able to return by then or not. BCCI secretary Jay Shah has broken his silence on this subject.
Earlier it was being claimed that Mohammed Shami could return in the India vs Bangladesh Test series to be held in September. But now it is clear that Shami will neither play in the Duleep Trophy nor in the Test series against Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Team India has to play 3 Test matches against New Zealand in mid-October. If Shami becomes fit, he can be seen playing in the Ranji Trophy before that.
