Amit Shah on India vs Pakistan Cricket: India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently released the manifesto of the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, one of his statements is also being linked to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be played in Pakistan next year. Let us tell you that till now the BCCI and the Government of India have not put forward any clear stand on sending Team India to Pakistan.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Until terrorism is completely eradicated, we are not in favour of any kind of talks with the Pakistan government. Instead, we are definitely in favour of understanding the views of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and talking to them.” Apart from him, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has also said that the era of talks with Pakistan is now far behind.
This statement of Amit Shah is being linked to the Champions Trophy 2025. Since he has adopted a sharp attitude against Pakistan, it is believed that the Indian government is not in favor of sending the cricket team across the border for the Champions Trophy under any circumstances. Some time ago, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla also issued a statement saying that the decision to send Team India is completely in the hands of the Indian government.
Pakistan’s stand is also clear
The ICC had allocated a budget of crores of rupees to the Pakistan Cricket Board for the Champions Trophy 2025. Efforts are being made to renovate the grounds and provide world-class facilities in them. The stand of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is clear that it is not ready to adopt the hybrid model under any circumstances. Hybrid model means that the PCB does not want to accept the proposal to hold India’s matches in any other country under any circumstances. But now Amit Shah’s statement has indicated that there is every possibility of Team India missing the Champions Trophy.
