This bench was hearing a case filed by a news agency, in which the agency had accused Wikipedia of giving wrong and derogatory information. In this case, Wikipedia said that the information on their page is given by content volunteers. Content volunteers edit on the basis of information received from public sources. In this case, the Delhi High Court told Wikipedia that if they do not cooperate with the court, then the court can ask the Indian government to take action and then Wikipedia can also be banned from India.
