Sikandar Raza Fastest T20 Hundred: The date of 23 October 2024 will be remembered for a long time by the cricket teams of both Zimbabwe and Gambia. On the same day, Zimbabwe has created history by scoring 344 runs in T20 cricket, while Gambia has added a shameful record of defeat of 290 runs. In the same match, Sikandar Raza also changed history as he became the first player for Zimbabwe to score a century in T20 cricket by scoring a century in just 33 balls.
Sikandar Raza was born in Pakistan
Sikandar Raza made his international cricket debut for Zimbabwe in 2013. But his life started from Sialkot, Pakistan. Sikandar was born on 24 April 1986 in Sialkot and when he grew up, he wanted to join the Pakistani Air Force. He completed his studies from Pakistan Air Force Public School. Unfortunately, he failed in the vision test, due to which his dream of joining the Air Force was shattered. His family moved to Zimbabwe in 2002, but Alexander then stayed in Scotland and obtained a bachelor’s degree in software engineering.
Pakistan was openly ridiculed
Although Sikandar Raza is originally Pakistani, but it was only a few years ago when Zimbabwe surprised Pakistan by defeating Pakistan by one run in the T20 World Cup 2022. Pakistan team was heavily criticized for that defeat. After the match, when Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza was asked that when in the match did he feel that he could defeat Pakistan. In response, Sikandar said, “We were confident that we could beat Pakistan even before the first ball was bowled.” With this answer, Sikandar created a sensation on the internet all over the world.
