If reports are to be believed, Jaya Bachchan had a condition which was not acceptable to both the Kapoor family and Karisma. According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, Jaya wanted Karisma to quit acting after marriage. Karisma did not agree to this, after which the relationship was broken.
