1. Ectomorphs
People who have an ectomorph body type have long and thin limbs. They are considered very lucky because they do not gain weight even after eating anything because they have a fast and high metabolism. They are usually lean. Their shoulders are tighter than their hips.
2. Endomorphs
People with endomorph body type tend to accumulate fat around their stomach and especially in their hips. They have a soft, round body and a large midsection. Fat can accumulate very easily in them. Such people have a lot of trouble losing weight. If you also have this body type, then you should avoid eating too much fat and exercise as much as possible.
3. Mesomorphs
Mesomorph body type has a sporty look i.e. muscular body. They have an athletic body and good metabolism. If they live an active and healthy lifestyle, they can control their weight.
Are there any other body types other than these three?
If you do not fall into any of these three body types, then it is possible that you are of the ecto-meso body type. This means that your body is lean and muscular. Or you are of the meso-endo body type, in which the body is strong and muscles are well built. Or you are of the endo-meso body type, in which there is skinny fat. In all these three, weight can increase rapidly due to lack of exercise and poor diet.
