Why Indian Cricketers are Fitter than Indian Players: India and Pakistan are neighboring countries of each other, the way of living and food habits in both the countries is almost similar. But when it comes to cricket, there is a huge difference between the two teams. If we take the example of the World Test Championship (WTC 2025), Team India is first, while Pakistan is at the last position in the table. When a match takes place, it becomes clear that there is a lot of difference in the fitness of the players of India and Pakistan. So let us know why there is such a difference in the fitness of the players of both the teams?
Pakistani players play a lot of cricket
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) does not allow its players to play in foreign T20 leagues or franchise cricket. Talking about franchise cricket, Indian players play only in IPL. On the other hand, players of Pakistan team keep participating in T20 leagues going on around the world. Pakistani players are also seen playing in other leagues including CPL, PSL and BPL. By playing too much cricket, Pakistani players get very little time for rest. In comparison to them, Indian players play less cricket, which does not have much negative impact on their fitness.
huge gap in infrastructure
BCCI has recently inaugurated the new National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. It has an Olympic size swimming pool, which helps in improving the cardio of the players. This academy is equipped with new facilities of sports science, while the process of recovery from any injury is also world-class. The army training method of Pakistan team had gone viral a few months ago, which was made fun of all over the world. There is a huge difference in the facilities for cricket training in both the countries.
